Vivian Sue Deem

     Vivian Sue Deem, age 73, of Marion passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 9:40 PM in the Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born in Lucasville, Ohio on July 20, 1950 to Hubert and Susie (Mullins) Sturgill. Vivian was a 1968 graduate of Harding High School and was employed for 25 years at the Whirlpool Corporation before her retirement in May of 2023.

     Vivian is survived by a son, Robert “Rob” (Amber) Deem of Marion, OH., 3 grandchildren, Jacob (Sabrina) Deem, Maison (Kenzie) Thomas, & Kamrey (Jenn Hopton) Deem, 3 great grandchildren, Kaison Thomas, Xaivier Thomas, & Haizel Thomas, 2 sisters, Wanda (Bill) Grey & Sharon (Floyd) Boyd both of Marion, Ohio, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, James Sturgill, and a sister, Wilma Bridenstine.

     Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Monday, August 7th, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, the 8th, starting at 11:00 AM with burial to follow in Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. Donations in Vivian’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
