Wesley Honaker Obituary
Wesley Junior Honaker age 92 of Marion, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his residence.
He was born January 10, 1927 in Marion, Ohio to the late Wesley James and Sally (Conley) Honaker.
On January 24, 1947 in Greenup, KY., he married Genevieve Lee "Jenny" (Mayse) Honaker, she preceded him in death on November 27, 2009.
Wesley was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during WWII, he retired from Fairfield Engineering Corporation after 49 years of service as a heavy weld set-up man and an inspector. Wesley was a member of Pleasant Senior Center, Marion Senior Center, V.F.W. Post #7201 and former member of the Moose Lodge #889. Wes loved life and was always on the go.
Wesley is survived by his sons, Michael Honaker of Waldo, OH., Steven (Garnet) Honaker of Upper Sandusky, OH., his daughter, Pamela Linniman of Monnett, OH., 5 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. 12 step great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 2 step great great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Terry (Jackie) Honaker of Sycamore, OH., Jack Honaker of Green Camp, OH., Howard (Debbie) Honaker of Mt. Gilead, OH., and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 5 brothers, James, Homer, Raymond, George and Jerry Honaker, 3 sisters, Mary Jones, Ellen Hartle and Shirley Seckel.
Visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2019 from 4 - 7 PM at the Boyd-Born Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 1PM at the funeral home with Pastor James Compton officiating. The Marion County Veterans Council will conduct a military service at the funeral home prior to the burial at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heartland Hospice of Marion.
