William David Roberts

     William David Roberts, age 77, of Prospect, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from his residence. He was born on August 9, 1946 in New London, CN. To the late Robert and Gladys Roberts.  William married the former Jacqueline McComas on January 7, 1968 in Green Camp, Ohio and she survives. He is also survived by a son, Bill (Loriena) Roberts of West Jefferson, OH. and 2 grandchildren, Maryn & Ethan Roberts. He was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Swinburn.

     William served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Sims Brothers in 2004 after serving as a mechanic for the company for over 30 years.  Friends may call at the Boyd Funeral Home on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.  The funeral service will be held in the Mount  Vernon Avenue Church of Christ on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jeff Bush officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Camp Cemetery. Military rites will be given by The Marion Co. Veterans Council.
